Being a woman, running a theater, getting older—Emmy Werner feels it all very personally. Does E. love the theater? Do you ask a fish if it loves the water? After a few years as an actress, she was soon drawn offstage to work behind the scenes. Only then was she able to develop her individual potential—right down to the role of the theater director. But how does the life of a woman who does not want to be invisible on the side of a partner develop? Which prejudices is she confronted with? Emmy Werner has written a book that shows courage and makes you laugh.
