What would Vienna be without the New Year’s Concert? All the more so as for the last six years it has been possible to celebrate this Viennese tradition in the fall as well. The Jewish New Year’s Concert on Rosh Hashana has become an established event. Rosh Hashana is celebrated this year in September, as always with dishes dipped in honey, symbolizing a “sweet” start to the year.
