Every Sunday, the ethnocineca - International Documentary Film Festival Vienna presents a matinee in the form of a film series with ethnographic and documentary film highlights from the festival's repertoire. Mr. Gaga is invited to prestigious houses such as the Staatsoper Berlin. Ohad Naharin, who grew up in Israel, is considered one of the best contemporary choreographers. He invented a completely new language of movement that revolutionized modern dance: "Gaga". This dance style is about the interaction between the participants, about the joint development of a free space for movement. Director Tomer Heymann wants to make it clear with his documentary that behind the performances of Naharin-led Batsheva Dance Company is very hard work. He also tracks down how Naharin became who he is by using unpublished test recordings and archive footage.
