A young fellow who waits in vain for his father at the bar mitzvah, a mother who knows nothing about it, a rabbi who is very pregnant and her husband whose compulsive neurosis is not particularly funny - but behind it hides an emotional relationship drama full of comedy and thoughtfulness. The movie plays today and asks more questions than he wants to give answers. What does modern fatherhood look like, how can one express tenderness, spiritual attachment and not turn feelings into stereotypes?
