The City Temple is the spiritual center of the Jewish community in Vienna and the largest synagogue in Austria. It was the only major Viennese synagogue to survive the November Pogrom of 1938. In 2026, the City Temple, built by Josef Kornhäusl, will celebrate its 200th anniversary.

If you would like to attend a prayer service and are not a member of the IKG, you are asked to register at least three days in advance.
