The City Temple is the spiritual center of the Jewish community in Vienna and the largest synagogue in Austria. It was the only major Viennese synagogue to survive the November Pogrom of 1938. In 2026, the City Temple, built by Josef Kornhäusl, will celebrate its 200th anniversary.

The restoration of the Vienna City Temple aim to preserve this spiritual and cultural-historical center of Austrian Jewry and prepare it for the future.
