The Cantors’ Concert
The annual Cantors’ Concert offers Viennese audiences the opportunity to experience the art of Chazanut - cantorial singing. Jews and non-Jews alike can authentically experience traditional prayers, old Jewish songs, religious melodies from the shtetl, and the timeless tunes of Jewish prayer at this event.
The concert takes place annually with Shmuel Barzilai, Chief Cantor of the Jewish Community of Vienna. In addition, there are exciting international special guests.
Special guests in recent years have included, for example, Yaakov Lemmer, Elli Jaffe & the Choir of the Great Synagogue of Jerusalem, and Shai Abramson.
