Sigmar Gabriel invites organizer of the antisemitic and anti-Israel Quds march

Berlin, 25 May 2017 On Monday, May 22, a conference on the “Responsibility of Religions for Peace” took place at the German Foreign Office [1].

A number of Ayatollahs from Iran and Germany were invited, among them Hamidreza Torabi. Torabi is the chairman of the “Islamic Academy of Germany”, which belongs to the “Islamic Center of Hamburg” (IZH). The IZH is controlled by the Iranian Regime and is involved in the organization of the annual anti-Israeli Al Quds march. During the Al-Quds march last year, Torabi carried a poster calling for the destruction of Israel [2].

Gabriel’s other guests included the Iranian ambassador to Germany Ali Majedi and Seyed Abdolhassan Navab, president of the “University of Religions and Denominations” from Qom / Iran. This university is an Islamist academy, which adheres to totalitarian and antisemitic Iranian ideology. [3]

STOP THE BOMB spokeswoman Ulrike Becker comments: “The invitation of an Islamist who spreads hatred against Israel to a so-called peace conference of the German Foreign Office once again shows the dramatic consequences of the dialogue with the Iranian regime. Anyone who aims to make the Islamic Republic a partner ends up with antisemites in his house and is becomes entangled in protecting a regime that is feared and hated throughout the Middle East because of its expansionist wars. ”

The campaign STOP THE BOMB calls for a ban of the antisemitic Quds march in Berlin, which calls for the destruction of Israel, and therefore violates the idea of international understanding. According to the scientific service of the German Bundestag, this is a criterion to take legal measures against the march. [4]
