ZPC School Campus
The Zwi Perez Chajes School Campus of the Jewish Congregation in Vienna.
Our school campus is the educative institution of our Jewish community in Vienna. The Jewish Congregation in Vienna bears the operating expenditure. The purpose-built, four storey campus houses a day nursery, a kindergarten, an elementary school (combined with after-school care club) and a secondary school with focus on natural sciences and mathematics. Both schools are permanently accredited by the Ministry of Education.
The school pursues educational and interpersonal goals and values, mainly Jewish Education, personality development and integration. Our unique approach to strive for those values in all our facilities on the campus makes us an exceptional institution.
In our nursery and our kindergarten we offer groups for children aged 1,5 to 3 years and for those aged 3 to 6 years. This campus unit is subject to the regulations of the “Wiener Kindertagesheimgesetz” of the Vienna city council, which monitors the educational work.
The education of our accredited elementary school is based on the Austrian curriculum. In addition to the general curriculum, Hebrew is taught in classes one to four.
In our after-school care club we offer six classes. Here children can find the right surrounding according to their age. Both kindergarten and after-school care club are subject to the regulations of the “Wiener Kindertagesheimgesetz” of the Vienna city council, which monitors the educational work.
Students at our secondary school with focus on natural sciences and mathematics are taught according to the Austrian official curriculum. Different pilot projects ensure a unique Jewish educational approach:
- Hebrew is introduced as the first foreign language and taught continously through all the grades of secondary school. Thus Hebrew is part of the final secondary-school examinations
- Jewish History in grades 6 until 12
All students, beginning with kindergarten up to the end of compulsory school attendance, are offered the same opportunities, irrespective of their social background. Our students are supported and challenged according to their abilities in a safe environment. The essential part of ZPC is that EVERY student is provided with every possible opportunity to achieve the skills, key qualifications and learning strategies to become a self-confident and valuable member of the Austrian society.

Lauder Chabad Campus
Kindergarten, elementary school, junior and senior highschool, teacher training academy
Kindergarten
From toddlers to preschoolers: The kindergarten on the Lauder Chabad Campus stands for loving and high-quality care for the youngest. Experienced top pedagogues accompany the children through these important years of development – there are no limits to creativity, movement and age-appropriate learning.
Elementary school
The primary school years are the time when children discover the joy of learning and knowledge. Classes are held in small, efficient groups using the most modern methods and according to the Austrian curriculum. In addition to imparting a first-class, balanced and age-appropriate general education, the children also acquire a wide range of Jewish knowledge and begin to learn Hebrew as a foreign language.
Middle school
The former lower level of the grammar school has been run as the new middle school for several years. While many pupils from elementary school on campus advance to middle school, every year a number of children who previously attended other schools are also successfully integrated into middle school. The middle school actively prepares the pupils for the requirements of the upper level high school.
High school
The upper level secondary school on campus leads pupils in small classes with a maximum of individual support to the final exam “Matura”. In addition to the curriculum, which provides for the preparation of a pre-academic document, a series of exercises is offered that optimally prepare for studying at universities and working life.
“Handelsschule”
The commercial school “Handelsschule” on the Lauder Chabad Campus represents a new alternative to the ORG – the three-year training that follows the middle school ends with a final apprenticeship examination as an office clerk. In addition to general education subjects, the focus is on acquiring practical commercial knowledge.
