The President of the Jewish Community is elected by the Board for a four year parliamentary term. The President represents the Community, leads board meetings, supervises the administration of the leadership of the Community Board resolutions and supervises staff.
In 2012 Oskar Deutsch was elected president for the first time. At the end of the last parliamentary term, the election of the board of trustees took place in November 2017. The election results can be read under Election Protocol 2017 (Wahlprotokoll 2017 ). At the inaugural session of the newly elected Board of Education, President Oskar Deutsch (ATID) was confirmed in office by 22 out of 23 (95.7%). Also confirmed was Vice President Dezoni Dawaraschwili (VGJ) with 19 out of 23 votes (82.6%). Claudia Prutscher (ATID) was newly elected Vice-President with 18 out of 24 votes (75%).
